19:00 – The 13th seed Sam Querrey loses in the first round against the german Peter Gojowczyk 6-2 7-6(7). This was the latest match for today at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia. Follow us tomorrow! It will be a day full of matches with the first rounds of men’s and women’s main draw.

18:25 – Stefano Tsitsipas (40 ATP) reach the MD with a straight sets victory (7-6(9) 6-4) over Dusan Lajovic (95 ATP), recent quarter finalist of the Madrid’s Master 1000. Also Malek Jaziri is in the main draw. The 34-years old won a battle of 3 sets (6-4 3-6 6-3) with the other veteran Mikhail Youzhny.

18:10 – After a first part of the season below the expectations with 4 victories and 7 losses, Jack Sock (15 ATP) wins a good match (6-3 6-4) against David Ferrer (34 ATP) in the first round of Main Draw. 

18:00 – All the women’s qualifying matches are ended. In the match of the day, Danielle Collins (49 WTA) defeated Camila Giorgi (56 WTA) 2-6 6-4 6-2; Alison Van Uytvanck (47 ATP) d.Qiang Wang (64 ATP) 3-6 6-3 6-1; Su-Wei Hsieh (53 WTA) d. Mona Barthel (111 WTA) 6-2 7-6(3) and Ajla Tomljanovic (71 WTA) d. Zarina Diyas (54 WTA) 7-6(4) 6-3.

17:45 – Marin Cilic, 4th seed, speaks at his pre-tournament press conference. He withdrew from Madrid’s Master 1000 but now he’s feeling good “I had five days after Istanbul to, rest and do the therapies. And I’m feeling good. Obviously, it also takes time for me to get to the top form. Every day is great for me to play, just to feel my body. Just hoping that I can get to the form of those matches in next several days, that everything’s going to improve.”

16:00 – In the last round of men’s qualifying, amazing victory (4-6 6-4 7-6(5)) of the italian Filippo Baldi (349 ATP) against the 34 years old Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (69 ATP). Wawrinka is down 6-4 4-3 and break with Steve Johnson on Center Court.

15:15 – Federico Del Bonis (78 ATP) wins 3-6 6-3 6-4 against the german Mischa Zverev (54 ATP) and moves into the main draw. Zverev now has to focus on his brother match. At 18.30 Sascha Zverev will play the Madrid final against Dominic Thiem, we are sure we will find him on the players lounge watchin the tv!

15:00 – Great victory of the young italian player Lorenzo Sonego against the world number 27 Adrian Mannarino. After a tough first two set, Sonego raised his play level firing forehand winners in crucial moments. 2-6 7-6(4) 6-3 the final score.

14:00 – Sonego wins the second set 7-6(4) playing a great tie-break against Mannarino. Nikoloz Basilashvili (77 ATP) get a spot in the Men’s Main Draw after beating 3-6 7-5 6-4 Julien Benneteau (60 ATP).

13:15 – The first women to reach the main draw are Polona Hercog (62 WTA) (d. Aleksandra Krunic (45 WTA) 7-6(4) 6-4) , Natalia Vikhlyantseva (86 WTA) (d. Aryna Sabalenka (46 WTA) 6-2 1-6 6-4) and Kaia Kanepi (60 WTA) (d. Kateina Siniakova (51 WTA) 6-3 3-6 6-3)  are the first women to reach the Main Draw. Camila Giorgi and Danielle Collins are now warming up on court 2. Meanwhile the young italian Lorenzo Sonego after losing the first set 6-2 is up 4-3 with a break on second set against the french davisman Adrian Mannarino.

11:50 – Good Morning from the Foro Italico! The weather is sunny and the players are already on court for the latest matches of the qualifying draws. At noon the men’s main draw stars with the italian Lorenzo Sonego (142 ATP) against the french Adrian Mannarino (27 ATP), in the following match Stan Wawrinka (25 ATP) makes his comeback on tour and will face the american Steve Johnson (55 ATP). An interesting match will see Camila Giorgi (56 WTA) opposite to the young american Danielle Collins (49 WTA).
