The main draw ceremony for the men’s and women’s singles tournaments at the79th edition of the Internazionali Bnl d’Italia will be held tomorrow, Friday 6th May, on site at the WeSportUp area. The curtain-raiser for this year’s event is scheduled at 18.30 CET.
The ceremony will be showed live on tv by Supertennis TV and streamed on the Facebook page of the IBI.
The first men’s singles and doubles main draw matches will start on Sunday 8 May, while the action in the women’s tournaments will begin one day later. Qualifying rounds are set to be completed on Saturday and Sunday.
THE PROGRAM – Main draw matches will be split between two sessions: a day – and an evening one, the latter only taking place on the Campo Centrale. The day session will kick off at 11am on every court. On Campo Centrale, often referred as the court with the best visibility in the world by players and tennis experts, the evening session will start at 7pm and will feature a men and a women match. On the Grand Stand Arena, the program will sport a “long session”, meaning 5 matches per day starting from 11am. This will serve fans a long and high-quality offer. Semi-finals and finals will take place on the Campo Centrale.
STADIO PIETRANGELI – This iconic court will be accessible by all Ground Ticket holders from Monday May 9th to Thursday May 12th. On the program, five matches per day are scheduled on this court, split between both the men and the women draws. On Friday May 13th, four matches are scheduled, three of them being the quarter-finals of the women draw.
TICKETS – In order to buy your ticket or pass, all you need to do is to visit the ticketing website and follow the instructions. As every year, only about 30 tickets will be on sale on site at the gates of Foro Italico on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th.
SUPERTENNIX – All WTA matches from the tournament will be streamed live and simultaneously on SuperTenniX. The digital platform of SuperTennis is a free service that Federazione Italiana Tennis has granted to all its members. Fans who do not hold a membership to the federation can still subscribe to the platform with a cost of 3.99€ per month or 34.99€ per year. Both offers give a 14 days free trial.
WEBSITE, APP and SOCIAL – thanks to the digital channels of the tournament, the atmosphere of the Foro Italico will reach all the fans who cannot attend the event. Via the official social media handles of the tournament, fans will connect to the emotions that live courtside, access player-only zones and experience the tournament to the fullest. The official website and app will also serve fans thoroughly during the event: live results, timetables, news and facts will be updated continuously. From this year, on the app, one can access the IBITV, where pre-qualifications will be streamed as well as champions’ training sessions.
