Lukas Rosol, Ernests Gulbis and Igor Andreev are all in men’s qualifying action as the first day of competition begins at the Foro Italico on Saturday. Rosol, who famously beat Rafael Nadal at last year’s Wimbledon, is up against Flavio Capiolla, the Italian, while Latvian Gulbis takes on Romanian Adrian Ungur on Pietrangelli. Andreev, who has played just two main draw matches in 2013, faces Grega Zemlja on Court Four. Spaniards Lourdes Dominguez Lino and Anabel Medina Garrigues are standout names in the ladies’ qualifying. Dominguez Lino takes on Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni while Medina is up against home wildcard A0lexia Virgili. Five Americans are also represented in qualifying with Madison Keys, Jamie Hampton, Melanie Oudin, Lauren Davis and Mallory Burdette all featuring on Saturday.
