With 9,245 people coming through the gates on Sunday (3,594 multiple entry passes and 5,651 individual tickets), the men’s tournament at the 2010 Internazionali BNL d’Italia once again set an attendance record with 122,880 paying spectators across the eight days. This represents an 11.72% rise on the 2009 figures, when 109,989 attended the ATP Masters 1000 event.
53,353 fans watched the main draw of the women’s tournament, which was 4.95% down on 2009. Overall, this meant that 176,150 people watched the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, some 10,000 more than last year, with receipts also up by around 450,000 euros.
