23:40 – This wonderful day of tennis ends here. See you tomorrow good night!

23:38The level of this tiebreak is UNREAL! Felix plays an excellent offensive tennis, but Djokovic moves to BLACK MAMBA mode. From his racquet only magic. Djokovic flies 6-1, has 5 MATCH POINT! With another perfect rally he draws the lines of the court, closes 7 points to 1. Monstrous performance of the n.1. Definitely the best match of the Serbian of the year. 7-5 7-6 the final score of the great match. Applause to Felix Auger-Aliassime, if we had a great match it’s also thanks to him. The second semifinal is Djokovic vs. Ruud.

23:30 – The second set goes to decider. Stunning level of tennis, both players give everything they have. Energy, top class. Pure talent and show on court.

23:18 – Wow! Auger-Aliassime breaks back Djokovic! The Serbian forces out a backhand, poor balance hitting this ball. The set reopens! The Canadian serves 4-5.

22:54 – Felix feels the pressure now, is less flowing and makes some errors with his forehand. He loses the service game at fourth break ball. Beautiful rally, Novak hits a perfect lob, Felix jumps as high as he could but fails to harpoon the ball. Novak calls the crowd, GREAT POINT and BREAK !!! 4-2 Djokovic.

22:33 – Djokovic is raising his shape and confidence in the tournament up to the sky. His growth, both in terms of dynamism and intensity, is incredible. No more up and down, lots of rallies with high speed and total control. The backhand winner down the line which he closes the third game is photo of his moment. Perfect. 2 all the score.

22:21 – DJOKOVIC’S SCREAM! Felix loses field under the pressure of # 1, th.e court is open and Novak fires a perfect cross forehand. FAA stands still. SET Djokovic, 7-5. A very good set, well played by both.

22:09 – Djokovic Break -> Counter Break Auger-Aliassime! Best moment of the match so far. Djokovic raises the level, Felix plays a few first serves and the # 1 raises the speed of his forehand, and breaks Felix. 5-3 and serve Novak. Felix raises his pace in return, enters a “wall-mode” in the rally and Djokovic forces two errors. Counter Break Felix, 5-4. Great tennis.

21:52 – Felix is the first to have a break point, thanks a forehand soooo tight. Novak inserts the “cruise control”: he moves the rival right to left and back, cancels the chance. 3-2 Djokovic, 22 minutes.

21:33 – Djokovic to serve. N.1 starts in style, closes the game with a beautiful drop shot. 1-0 Djokovic.

21:00 – Soon on Centre Court, the awaited last quarter-final of the male draw: Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Novak Djokovic. This could be a big one…

20:58 – TEICHMANN RETIRES! The Swiss after a medical time out returns on court and tries to play again, but injury at her left leg forces Jil to stop. Such a shame, Teichmann was in great shape after the semifinal at the WTA 1000 in Madrid last week.

19:53 – Teichamann broke Kasatkina -> 2-0, but Daria immediately breaks back at the second break point (forehand). 2-1 ahead the Swiss, but now Kasatkina to serve.

19:38 – The last quarter-final of the women’s draw has just started on the Centre Court. Teichmann to serve, but is Kasatkina to sprint off quickly. Daria has two break points at 15-40. Excellent Jil to come forward and save the first; perfect to touch a drop shot and close with a passing shot. Some good tennis out there.

18:49 – Jabuer completes the comeback. Sensational. She was 2-5 down in the second, after losing the first set. She wins 1-6 7-5 6-1 with an incredible run of 11 games to 1. She enters for the first time in the semifinals at the IBI. Her huge smile is the photo of a day absolutely unforgettable!

18:45 – Another break Jabeur! Ons eases 5-1 and serve, one step away from entering the semifinals.

18:32 – At the fifteenth (!) break point of the match, Ruud breaks Shapovalov for the first time. For the second time, even in a crucial moment, the net deflects Denis’s volley by just enough to land out. Serious unlucky out there. 6-5 Ruud, serves well and closed the match. Big, big win for him, against an excellent Shapo.

18:20 – SET JABEUR! Incredible comeback by Ons, who comes back from 2-5 and wins the second 7-5 with five games in a row. Sakkari totally blocked, her powerful shots almost disappeared…

18:11 – Jabeur break point! WOW ONS, CAN’T YOU BELIEVE IT!!!! No way, you cannot do that! Jabeur flies to the net and with a perfect stop volley got it! 5 All!

17:55 – Ruud Shapovalov in the second set advances on serve. 4 all

17:29 – Sakkari storms over Rome!!! She dominates 6-1 the 1st and is one break ahead in the second. Jabeur does not find the key with his technical quality to overturn the pressure and physicality of the Greek, dominant so far.

17:23 SET RUUD! 9-7 at decider. Really lucky Casper, on 7 points all, his forehand is deflected by the net and falls juuuuuuust in Shapo’s side. Ruud secures the breaker with a 1st serve in. 1 hour to 10 minutes, great fighting and decent tennis show.

17:04 – 5 all on “Central”. Shapovalov saves 4 break point in the sixth game, so accurate with serve and forehand.

16:52 – Jabeur – Sakkari has just begun, the first game won by the Greek. Total contrast in style between the two tennis players, powerful and concrete Maria, talented and tactical Ons.

16:35 – 3-2 Ruud on “Centrale”. He go on serve, no break so far. Casper saved the only break point in the third game.

16:26! 6-0! Closes with BAGEL Iga Swiatek. She struggles to close the first set, then she ran away in the second, too strong physically compared to Bianca, who gradually decreased in intensity and speed. It is the THIRTEENTH 6-0 inflicted by Swiatek on a rival in 2022 …

16:15 – Swiatek in control of the second set. 4-0 ahead, Andreescu has physically collapsed and Iga dominates the rally completely. 5-0 now, it’s “almost” over.

16:02 – 7-6 Swiatek! A very hard first set has just ended between the # 1 WTA and the US Open 2019 champion.

15:49 – The match stopped after a first match point (not converted) to help a spectator on the higher sector of the stands. After more than 10 minutes, the game can finally resume on Advantage Tsitsipas (Match Point #2). Long rally, Sinner tries the drop shot but Stefanos reads it well, advances fast and closes easily. Game Set Match Tsitsipas. 7-6 6-2 the final score of the match. Big big win for Tsitapas, well deserves. Good performance by Sinner too, only a physical problem made the second set “easier” for the Greek.

15:28 – Tsitsipas in control. He moves 0-40 at 4-2, three break point to “secure” the match. Sinner is uncertain, he has lost intensity, maybe the physical issue is serious. He risks an adventurous S & V, but the volley (not easy, Stefanos’ passing shot is excellent) just lands into the corridor. BREAK Tsitsipas, 5-2, one step away from W.

15:17 – Break and counter break on Grande Stand Arena: Andreescu had moved forward 3-2, Swiatek breaks back with a nice backhand down the line and now leads 4-3.

15:10 – Sinner leaves the court at the end of the set and receives a medical time out. In the third game, Sinner falls under three unforced, including a badly hit ball that condemns him to 0-40. Three break points for Stefanos. The Italian saves the first with a nice serve. The break comes to the second one: Tsitsipas takes the point arriving like a thunderbolt on Sinner’s drop shot and closing over the net. Tsitsipas 2-1 and serve. Sinner touches his left hip, something is has happened.

14:48 – Stefanos wins the decider with a perfect attack on the net. 7 points to 5. Bravo Stefanos, but Jannik too, tremendous technical level. The point on 5 all was decisive: the Greek was a lightning in taking the center of the court in the rally and fire a perfect forehand inside out.

14:39 – Is Sinner trembling, under 5-6? NO! He plays the best game of his match: huge forehand, drop shot, spectacular cross backhand. Everyone standing! 6 all, tiebreak!

14:28 – 5 all, Sinner closes the game with a sudden – and well played – serve and volly. It is the first straight game played by the Italian.

13:59 – SINNER breaks back! The “Centrale” roars on the forehand out by Stefanos. The Italian stir up the crowd, PANDEMONIO! 3-2 Tstisipas the score, now Jannik to serve.

13:45 – Sinner loses his very first service game, some errors with his forehand. 14 minutes… Necessary to close the third game, with a total of 20 points and three break points not converted by Sinner. 3-0 Tsitsipas, one break.

13:06 – Game Set Match Zverev! OK the first match point Sasha, another terrific forehand down the line from the right corner. With this shot Sasha made the difference today. 7-5 6-2 the final score, Zverev returns to the semifinals at IBI.

12:59 – 5-2, Aryna serves for the match. What a point on 30 all! Rally with tighter and tighter angles, Amanda misses the last ball running forward. 40-30, Match Point !!! ACE! Closes in style Aryna, 6-2. It is her first victory against Anisimova. Well done!

12:38 – Aryna takes off in the second set. Amanda’ serve doesn’t work, she starts with a double fault, errors -> BREAK Sabalenka, who consolidates the advantage. 2-1 the score.

12:25 – Sabalenka! Wins the second set 6-3, OK the second set point, a powerful first ball is not returned in by Anisimova. The break in the eighth game was decisive. With a double fault Amanda loses the decisive point.

12:21 – SET Zverev! At the second set point, with a very powerful first serve to the middle, Sasha secures the first, 1 hour and 7 minutes. 14 winners and 16 errors for the German, 9 winners for the Chilean.

12:20 – Set Point Zverev! Sasha runs to net following a powerful forehand but… Garin’s passer is wheelie from the net, unplayable! Sasha’s face says it all…

11:58 – Break and Counter Break on Grand Stand Arena. Zverev takes the lead but plays a poor game, full of errors and uncertainties. Garin takes advantage, impacting 4 all.

11:46 – SET ANISIMOVA! With a backhand wide, Sabalenka delivers the first set to the American.
6-4 the score.

11:36 – 2 all Zverev – Garin. No break points so far, Sasha struggles too much in his serving games. He alternates some good rallies with bad executions. The German seems ready for the break as soon as he manages to reduce the number of unforced.

11:23 – Return rules on “Centrale”. Neither player manages to win a good service game. The ball runs very fast, right from the first shot. 3-2 Anisimova.

11:16 – Zverev – Garin take off on GSA. The Chilean is on serve, many errors in the very first rallies. tThe two still have to get into rhythm.

11:03 – At Warm up Sabalenka and Anisimova on “Centrale”. 4-0 for Amanda the head to head, including the 1st round in match Madrid last week.

10:30Good Morning !!! It’s Friday, at IBI22 means quarter-finals. Eight great matches to be lived together. On Centre court ready to start Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova, a match that promises rallies at breakneck speeds! Following Jannik Sinner, for the first time in the quarterfinals at Internazionali BNL d’Italia, opposed to Stefanos Tsitsipas. It’s the most awaited match by Italian fans, a not to miss. Not before 3 pm, Ruud – Shapovalov to close the afternoon program on “Centrale”. Teichmann – Kasatkina open the evening session at 7 pm, followed by Djokovic – Auger-Aliassime, a fantastic match given the excellent form shown in the tournament by the Canadian. Alexander Zverev – Cristian Garin at 11 on the Grand Stand Arena, followed by two quarter-finals of the women’s draw: Swiatek – Andreescu (potentially extraordinary match) and Jabeur – Sakkari, two players at the antipodes for style.
