14:38 – Shapo’s scream! Denis fights as hard as he can, breaks Sonego (4th break point) on 5-4 with Sonego serving for the first set. The Italian has never reached set point.
14:26 – Trevisan can’t complete her come back, Zhang secures the first 6-4. Halep 6-4 6-4 on Cornet, good match for Simona.
14:20 – Court 2, Borna Coric serves ahead 5-4 to close the second set against Djere, the Serbian won the first set 6-2.
14:00 – Sonego’s forehand is very effective, he leads the rally and moves “Shapo” right and left behind the baseline. Lorenzo stays strong, 4-2 ahead. Too many unforced by Denis, he fires out exactly in wrong moments…

Third match Elisabetta Cocciaretto – Belinda Bencic, a demanding challenge for the Italian. Stan Wawrinka – Reilly Opelka opens on “Centrale” at 11 am, followed by Martina Trevisan vs Shuai Zhang, then Giulio Zeppieri vs Karen Khachanov. Highly anticipated the evening session (7 pm) on “Centrale”: Fabio Fognini vs. Dominic Thiem; not before 8.30 pm, debut for Camila Giorgi against Ajla Tomljanovic.
