Zverev gifts girl bandana

This content was published 3 years ago. It may refer to a past edition of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.

Alexander Zverev made amends for accidentally hitting a young fan with a tennis ball during his doubles match by giving her one of his bandanas.

A smash hit by the world No. 5 in the first set inadvertently struck the girl on the head but Zverev, who was playing doubles with his brother Mischa, was quick to find her at the change of ends and insisted on tying the bandana around her head.

The kind gesture didn’t help his fortunes in the doubles as the brothers lost 7-6(2) 6-4 to No. 6 seeds Raven Klaasen and Michael Venus on Court 2.
