Hip injury forces Kyrgios out

This content was published 7 years ago. It may refer to a past edition of the Internazionali d’Italia.

Nick Kyrgios has withdrawn from both the singles and doubles events at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia due to a hip injury.

Lucky loser Alexandr Dolgopolov will take the Australian’s place in the singles draw while Treat Huey and Michael Venus will replace Kyrgios and Fabio Fognini in the doubles.

Kyrgios was scheduled to play Roberto Bautista Agut in the first round on Tuesday on Pietrangeli Court but the Spaniard will now play Dolgopolov on Court 1. Tomas Berdych and Carlos Berlocq’s match, which was originally scheduled for Court 1, has been moved to Pietrangeli Court.
